| I sometimes hear people say fps and i get confused when i see people use the (is it rly one) word in topics having 2 do /w maps.
Exactly what does fps have to do with maps? | |

| the maps are composed of many things, which have an effect on fps, like shaders, brushes, or else complicated things which i won't talk about ^^. So the maps have a major effect. | |

| Oh.
Soz, if everything was very shiny and glowed would it have major lag?
it's funny how yavin is basic yet i'm surprised how people lag xD | |

| lags and fps are different.
Lags are caused by the internet connexion : if it's low, the response time i very high, and it makes lag. But only connexion can make it.
The shiny and glowy textures are shaders, and those can make fps bad. But yavin makes people have bad fps because the hangar for example is very large. So the game has to calculate more things than in a little room. So it makes people have bad fps.
But the server can have effect on fps too : if the comp has more things to calculate about the server settings and etc, it has less memory available for fps, so it's low. But that depends of comps : good comps don't have those problems. | |

| no not scripts. Scripts are lists of commands which let you execute those actions ( jump attack use force or anything else ) just by pressing one key. So they only execute ingame actions already existing, so no they don't make your fps low.
Still, the fps has an impact on scripts : the higher is the fps, the fastest the scripts execute themselves ; for example a kick script will be faster on the comp of someone who has good fps. | |

| oops i wasn't trying to say that. I was saying if a guy is lagging and ur fps is fine and you snipe him does he get stuck? or does he go down? | |

| FPS = Frames Per second so if u have a bad FPS your screen will snap all the time but your ping should be normal | |
