i can understand kernow. if you play music like bon jovi, you cant call it kick ass rock ^^ and you cant act like this (dont get me wring, i am a bon jovi freak. but i know what i got). that band is not hard rock... its barely rock. the lead singer is dressed like a hip-hopper and moves like such and they play pop music with a guitar and some drums. not to talk about the lyrics. rock music isnt based on special contents, but that sounded like a the winner of a kindergarten-writing contest.
i have nothing against it. but the difference in between of how they act and obviously want to be seen and what they actually are and do is just so big, that it was kind of ridicoulus to me

and to the girl. just today i had an experience of the third kind^^
one girl, who always sits besides me. she is really beautiful. (more beautiful than that girl there in the video) she is really nice too, but a little bit... slow ^^ i feel bad saying that, because she is so nice, but well, its true. and she rather hangs with guys that dont have such a fast mind, with easier humour...
anyway. yesterday was such a HOT day, whole germany melted away. so today everybody came with the lightest cloths he has. so did she. we were waiting at the door before the seminar started. and there she came up the stairs. short trousers revealing long legs, fawking tight top, so you could see the shapes of her perfect belly and you could see the bra with the colorful flowers on it.
i died ^^. just thought SEXEY! i was staring, thinking OH FAWK... SHITE... SEXEY... OH FAWK... SHITE... and so on. an that for the next 4,5 HOURS. we had seminars together from 7:15 until 11:45. i cant remember ANYTHING from what we did. i cant even remember if our professors where even there. i cant remember how we went from one house to another. i cant remember anything but her sexiness.
so... and when we said goodbye i was like waking up from a dream... like: uh, where am i? what am i doing here? is this real life? i had to wait 5 minutes to get my things together to find out what i had to do next.

so... what i wanted to say: i bet you never had such a good day. bet you never saw such a sexiness. lol @ that girl in the vid, after my day today ^^

I agree with kernow. I love American Pie, and i love quite alot of American Bands. (for example my favourite/band at the moment is Love Drunk/ Boys like Girls) But this is such an 'american pie' song, its cheesy stuff.

But some of this American stuff, idk. Its soooo unrealisitc, life just isnt like american pie, not at all, despite the fact they are brilliant films, when u sit back and think about it, its cheesy shit. Everything focus on being 'cool', and focusing on being cool isnt cool. The simple fact is that if somebody in real life, acted how they do on American pie, you would last about 5 minutes before somebody put you on your arse. People would just think your a cheesy attention seeking prick, who is just showing off (to be honest all of this high 5, and 'wassup dude!' and trying to act cool all the time, just make some americans look like dickheads to us english) for one, if you came to england and acted like that, you would last 2 seconds before somebody got pissed off and pounced on you. I really hope that this steriotype that us english (or at least the steriotype i have) of american people, is exaggerated or even untrue, because the way so of you guys go on in films, just wouldnt be tolerated in this part of the world lol. This song seems like one of those song that depicts this stereotype. The idea of being cool, isnt about acting cool, the more you act yourself, and the less you focus on being cool, the cooler you are.

This doesnt go for all americans at all, in fact its probably a vast minority, but it the idea that some people have about you guys. Take Stiffler for example, everybody thinks he's cool, everybody laughs and thinks he halarious (even us english pure love him), but if somebody came here and tried to act like stiffler, omg he wouldnt last 5 seconds, im serious fellas, somebody would rip his head off.

Its like you guys try to act cool all of the time, like you try to be something that your not, like your trying to show off, and impress everybody (especially girls), its make you look like wankers lol.

Im not on about all americans, just the 'american pie' stereotype, and this is exactly what this song represents to me.
