PS3 or Xbox 360

Ladies and gentleman of Sol, i need help. i have a compare/contrast essay due soon. I decided to compare these two consoles and i need some opinions or facts if you can offer some. Sorry i dont play very ofter to never any more, i've been playing Black ops zombies for PS3. i'd apprieciate it if you can. also can you just talk about these 2?

Here's some stuff I know about the two:

PS3 ProZ:
-More Powerful
-Got Blue-Ray
-Can support PS1 & PS2 Games (unlike 360, which can't play X-Box games)
-Uses Duel-Shock 3 Controller
-Top games that X-Box don't have: Metal Gear Solid Series, Final Fantasy Series, and Kingdom Hearts Series... (Correct me if I'm wrong in any of the above, not sure if the new ones were made for X-Box also)
-Free Internet/Service

X-BoX 360 ProZ:
-Got Hi-Def
-No idea what controller they use, but I'm sure its pro.
-Top games that PS3 don't have: Halo Series, and Halo Wars.

well i know that Ps3 online gaming is free and Xbox live costs something correct me if im wrong

and Ps3 can play ps1-2 games BUT the ps1-2 game cds need to be some cind of converted wich any Video Buster can do but its a bit expensive^^

ya, they made it for ps/ps2, but it can play on ps3 due to ps3z backward compatibility (or w.e. its called).

would the PSP being compatible with the PS3 alone make it better? Also can the PS3 and 360 controllers adapt to jk2 on PC?

For raw processing power, the specs seem to favor the Playstation 3.

forever changed. bad thing is That Ps3 has no Security back up becuase it has full online browsing.which is good but makes vunrable to viruses.Xbox makes sure that they have Maximuim Security this was why they dint have web browser and is more safe to use in xbox sure u have to pay but is worth it i think in security mesures.downside on ps3 if console gets infected ur completly fly a kite only way is to repair Hardrive or buy new one.

But, for a cheap price of 2-5 dollars, you can download old Xbox games to store on your console without the need of CDs.


I am slightly getting tired of people saying "PS3 has free internet, Xbox doesn't". Well, that is where people get slightly confused. Xbox DOES have free internet, but to do certain things require a premium, or "Gold Account", in order to access this. Most of the time it's just multiplayer option on games, and everything else is free. The new Xboxs are actually better, where Microsoft has now put in built-in wireless adapters, instead of buying the expensive one at the store. But I am also tired of people complaining about buying the adapter: You don't need that specific one. I bought a gaming port at newegg.com for $45 dollars, which is less than half the price for the adapter, but that's because I still have the older model.

I also dislike the excuse of PS3 saying that they don't have the "Red Ring of Death" or "RRD". Well, ask Coke said, it's security is minimal, if in fact nothing. And though the PS3 may have a Blue-Ray, I did a comparison. A PS3 has the same loading speed of a Xbox Elite. It is slightly faster than the Xbox Arcade and Xbox Premium, but not much. Also, Xbox offers free maintenance or a replacement if you send in your Xbox that has a RRD, while PS3 you have to re-buy the spare parts to repair it.


In my opinion, Xbox is more worth it in the long run. You might need to invest a few extra dollars, but it can be totally worth it.

You're right about the X-Box being backward compatible (I checked this stuff like years ago and it wasn't able to play X-Box games from like the first few version or so..) dono if xbox remote can but with a sixaxis download (its a pain to find) a ps3 remote can work on a computer via bluetooth or usb including the motion censor. (if anyone wants the download just ask me you can program any button and motions for just about any game even jedi outcast if you want). Btw to clear things up i own a backwards compatible ps3 The model was rejected by sony because they wanted to make money so they made a new version of ps3 not backwards compatible so people buy ps3 games. also an xbox360 live PROBABLY can play netflix, but im not certain; however a ps3 CAN run netflix.

I love the ps3 more than an xbox i just wish there was halo for ps3.

Yeah, xbox runs netflix.

Xbox 360 is much better, i like it. You can do so many things on the xbox, its the best, i would say rather better then ps3

BTW Xbox 360 does support xbox games, but only if you have a xbox 360 hardrive.

for 3 monthes you pay 15 pounds, and that aint bad. if you want gold that is.

Well only 1 PS3 can play the old PS2/PS1 console games, and that is the 60GB model, all the other models, from 40GB right through to 250GB (which i think is the largest harddrive to date) dont have that luxury, and 60GB is very old now so good luck trying to get your hands on one because they went like hot cakes. Of course you can download the most popular PS1 games via the playstation network and store them on your harddrive, but of course you have to pay a small fee for them.

I play quite alot of PS3 atm, but i only have 5 games. Pro Evo 09, F1 2010, CoD MW2, Resident evil 5 and Final fantasy 13, thats it...
