| Yeah, the IP trace isn't accurate, it has to do with the way the datacenter is networked. Do a trace on the old IP address: 184.173.134.252, shows up in Houston, Texas.
I still get my same 40-50ms ping from Michigan, no way I could get that to Texas. | |

| I also agree with Wehr I cant pal with that ping again drives me nuts.
In England we get 151-160 It's Odd How i go other servers in Us and Get 96-101
Not Very Understandable when i asked a few other British people some who live on coastline on Lincolnshire East of where i live they get 189. when they should get 132.
Mabe your actual server aint in NY but some other part. | |

| @Nick, is there a way to get actual server ip and port? I think I'm getting redirected or something and that may be causing my lag.

| Actually you or any one else ALWAYS get redirected bc your netpackets are passing many routers through. | |

| That is the actual IP address for the way they have it configured. Try monitoring your ping at different times or messing around with commands in the meantime and see if it resolves itself, if not I can try to do some testing, and if none of those yield any results I'll contact the provider.
Also, try a ping from the Windows command prompt and see if it gives different values. | |

| No. Changing ip s is not going to make the net faster. Besides, it is like a name which can be identified with. Plus some certain ips are used by certain providers with their subnet ip. They are located in any country. That s why you can use ip s to trace someone and tzen... aha, that guy lives here and there.
It has nothing to do with faster internet. All what matters is the location. | |
