Duel music HELP

Hey guys, I'm trying to get this sound file to replace the base duel.mp3 music for multiplayer, I cut it myself from a much larger sound file (which works fine) but this cut version doesn't want to work! (It comes up with an error message in console upon loading multiplayer *as the duel music is also the menu music*)

If anyone can help me to get it to work it would be really appreciated <3

Here's this mp3. Just make a .pk3 with a folder called "music" and another inside that called "mp" then just drop it in there and put it into your gamedata. I tried it in game as well but I just hear a few crackley sounds.

The first thing that came to mind was that it probably has to be the same length as the default duel.mp3. Anyways, I tried putting the song in and it said "Couldn't sample @ 44100", I then went into Audacity (sound editor) and went to see the Hz, and it was 44100. I then cut the rest of the song, and made it the same length as the default duel.mp3 (1:17), and it works. It's just that it stops abruptly, and starts playing again.

Okay thanks, but the strange thing is that the original sound file that I got it from was about 9 minutes long and it worked fine haha :L I'll try it out,

I believe you have to name it "duel.mp3" also. That is how it registers it.

Nope, just tested, and that just makes it not work entirely.

I still don't get why the 9 minute long version would work over the 4 minute one :L

I think there might be some weird limitations, like 1 minute will work and perhaps anything above 3 would work, but possibly not between 1 and 3 lol. Just guessing, I'd have to test it out later.

Alright so, I'm confused myself. I have made a test with a 4 minute song, then a 2 minute song, then a 3 minute song, (same song btw, original was 4 minutes and then just cut it down), and they all worked. o.o'
