For your chicken bdl???

Sorry to hear that BDL, it's tough losing lives that have been around for most of your own life, even if it's a chicken or some other pet. I'm sure you will be sad for some time, but after you start to accept it you will be able to focus on the good memories you have from when it was around. You were lucky to have gotten to spend so much time with it, few other people will get to have had the same experience. It's sad now, but in time you will be able to appreciate the time you had with it instead of lamenting the time that you did not get to spend with it.

Unfortunately you will have other losses like this throughout your life, and each time you will learn to better appreciate what little time you are given with the living things you meet. Do yourself a favor and try to start remembering the good memories, and be thankful for how much time you were given with your chicken. Take this experience to heart, and remind yourself to appreciate the other living things around you.

Man... just wait until you get the girl of your dreams and then she breaks up with you... life is full of sorrow.

We all get attached to pets, and dispite your odd choices of companions, i dont minimise your loss. But try to be opitimistic, althought its hard, try not to focus on the fact your pets have passed on, instead celebrate the fact that you were lucky enough to have them in the first time, and appreciate how fortunate you were to have shared some great times with your pets (many dont experience this, I for example have never owned a pet in my life, my grandma doesnt want the responsibility under her roof.)

It may be hard for you, but the loss of a person close to you is some what tenfold emotionally. So you need to accept the fact that life just is not fair, and we are all going to walk the same path sooner or later, animal or human.

I know what it is like to lose a person. In 2007 my last Grandad died. at 91

I only got to meet one of my Grandparents.

Tweak i have never eaten one of MY chickens before,they are like pets. It's like saying I'm going to eat my cat. xD If i eat a chicken that i have never seen before in my life then i havnt got attatched to it.
