| YES NOT SOCCER, FOOTBALL! Just watch Green Streets to see how we english hate the term soccer! (football violence film with elijah wood. Yes thats frodo baggins ftw!) I hate the word soccer, its football and always has been. It a game you play with your feet and not with your hands! (unlike american football, which by rights should probably be called american HANDBALL!  ) It kinda annoys me that american undermined the biggest sport on the planet, by changing the name, and replacing it with a girls version of rugby! Rugby is alot like american football (or should i say american football is like rugby cos rugby was invented first! And american football is actually based on rugby! xD) except that there are obviously rules and scoring differences. The biggest difference is the players though. Im rugby all of the players are built up like brick-shithouses with massive muscles and bollocks of steel, its rougher with many more injuries due to the fact that there is zero padding or protection involved with the players. Thats why i say american football is a girls version of rugby, because they wear ridiculous amounts of padding and protection (including helmets!) so that they dont hurt, and the players actually think they are tough because of it! No mate, no, rugby players are much harder and more brutal guys than american football players, and the sport has more physical aggression and sacrifice due to the fact that they are just as rough as american football players, but deviod of the copious amounts of padding and protection provided to american footballers. If an american football player stepped into a game of rugby, he would be totally annihilated.  | |
