Server Host?

Does anyone know how to server is hosted?

Im not sure who manages the actual server but i would like to know either:

A: What company is SoL's server provider?

Or

B: Where did you get the files for running on a personal server?
(Im looking for a file called "jk2ded_1.02E" or if not what do you use?)

i want to run a small server for me and some friends but i dont want to just create a multiplayer game.

My server (TSL) is hosted by ouned.de, which isn't too expensive, have great support, and is very stable It is hosted in Germany, just like SoL's

Btw, rather than jk2ded_1.02E I'd recommend you to use JK2MV instead, which is a far more modern and secure exe, with all the latest fixes to all known bugs that can be fixed through the exe, which is updated on a regular basis

Id much rather host it myself as i already have a server so do you know where i can find "JK2MV.exe"
(I dont want to download some dodgy virus onto my server)

we have a virtual server hosted by https://www.nfoservers.com/
you only get a server hosted, you have to set up jk2 on your very own. i have no idea how that works.

I used this website to get a Linux server in United Kingdom. It's pretty cheap and works very well.
I think they have other locations as well.
You just need to know basic Linux commands and FTP as you need to set all of it up.

And yes, like Kameleon said, definitely use the JK2MVDED server executable rather than the 1.02 executable as 1.02 players will be able to easily crash your server. ^^
