Howdy SoL people,

I usually go by typical Padawan name in server (yes i'm boring), but recently I've been unable to connect.
It seems I'm missing a file called clan_bots.pk3. If someone who set up the server could PM me a link to
that file or something, it'd be greatly appreciated.

It's weird, cause I have the SoL skin pack, but I guess my comp doesn't make the connection.
If no one can get me the file, that's fine, I'll have to wait until all the bots are gone before I can join

EDIT: Or just turn on server DL for like 24 hours. Whatever works

Have you recently installed a mod? Sometimes they can clash with servers not allowing you to connect.

Nope. Believe it or not, I actually did a fresh reinstall about a week ago to see what was going on.
Only files I have are SoL skin pack and the yavin_temple thingie.

it doesn't come from the server. i reinstalled jk2 1 week ago, with clean base folder and no mods, and i could join with nothing to dl, and no one never had to dl anything to join server, so it comes from you.

Funny as that might seems, I'm having the same problem. Its been a while since I've played JK2 but i just came back on and been wanting to play but I am getting the same error message "base/clan_bots.pk3 is missing" Some help to quickly resolve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Please also keep in mind i'm on a Mac.

I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling and made sure I have all the map packs off here, in my base folder.

Hi Xasomur long time no see haha,

When i disable the auto download the error switches to:
"You are missing some files referenced by the server. You may not be able to join the game. Go to Setup and turn on auto download, or get the files elsewhere."

Its like I'm missing a file but i don't see how that is possible or what file i would be missing.

no, that pk3 shouldnt be necessary at all.

ok, tell me how you go to the server. do you just start the game normally or do you access it somehow else?
I have a slight suspicion you're not using 1.04 patch <.<

When i start  up the game i click on the jk2 application, it takes me to single player then i click multiplayer  and it close the window and opens multiplay

and no personally I've never installed the update but i had to by a new version of the game off the app store because i lost my copy, so i assumed that it would be up to date.

and when you started the game you see .................~ in the list? and when you look at the info, you also see (sol)ppl on it?

i can see the server and i can see the people on it but i think its just bots on it right now, but yes i can see both our servers

(This file doesn't actually contain SoL bots, nothing at all actually it's a blank pk3 file just named clan_bots.pk3 to appease Jk2.)

I get a similar error every time I load it up but I just toggle the Auto Downloads option On then Off and it lets me connect for some reason.

wish that worked for me.

I dont suppose running jk2mp.exe as an administrator or through safe mode would change anything.

Not when I'm running on a mac and opening a exe isn't something that is possible unless on parallels, which personally I'm not a fan of

Is there any chance I could get a Mac user to send me a copy of their "dc_mods 1.2" and "base/clan_bots"
