First topic message reminder :

Howdy SoL people,

I usually go by typical Padawan name in server (yes i'm boring), but recently I've been unable to connect.
It seems I'm missing a file called clan_bots.pk3. If someone who set up the server could PM me a link to
that file or something, it'd be greatly appreciated.

It's weird, cause I have the SoL skin pack, but I guess my comp doesn't make the connection.
If no one can get me the file, that's fine, I'll have to wait until all the bots are gone before I can join

Erm ok, i have no idea how that it does not work on the mac but i assume vader or kernow use mac too.

About the window of the jk2 application you have mentioned, that looked like you click on a setup executable. You said you can choose there with the single and multiplayer option. Did yu installed the game?

Ok as you can see our servers, were yoj able to connect there?

Also were you able to connect to the other servers except sol?

If you connect to sol server and it expect you something like missing a file, what message did it display?
Start jk2mp and type in console cl_allowdownload 0 for applying on its base settings.

If it still doesnt work, reinstall jk2 and do not put any skins or maps in. It should work with stock files like assetsxyz.pk3 when looking at the base folder.

Nope, I have windows. Reason why I said I have no idea how to fix it. But I'm guessing there isn't anything similar as safe mode or as administrator on mac. (if I had perhaps used a mac in school then maybe I could've helped, but that won't happen)

i can't connect to any server :/ SoL or otherwise i can't connect. I tired entering "cl_allowdownload 0" in to the console but it didn't help still having a hard time connecting.

when i get the error messages i receive one out of three;

try to look into assets0, open it via WinRAR, check if you have botfiles there,
if that's ofc the files you refer to, ima just randomly shooting cuz that errors are unknown to me

Can you post the console log by using condump lalala.log and c+p it here? I want to follow the filepaths of yours

This guy also has a Mac, tho it is JKA. Not sure if the last comment on there worked for the guy or not, but could always try it out. (I'm also seeing alot of ppl saying getting all the files that server has won't help..)

Editx3: Forgot to mention, if you do replace anything, you should make a backup. (common sense but just reminding lol)

Oh i wish it where that easy, I already had the JK2MF and it doesn't really seem to help. Just font done uninstalling and reinstalling and still no luck. I can join other servers just not SoL.

Well atleast thats good.. but, maybe you could try getting dcmod into your game folder, not sure since people were saying it doesn't help, but worth a shot. (lawl almost wrote shit xP)

yea kinda. he had to get all the files (dcmod, clanbots, yavintemple etc) and I gave them to him ^^

Maybe it is because of mac system that it s not fully compatible and starts missing what it s not expected?

Yes I got it solved finally.

For any other Mac users of JK2:
          When you download the game from Steam or the App Store your JK2 MP doesn't contain its own base folder. So you have to then copy the bas folder over and then download dcmod 1.2/dcmod1_2.pk3 and place it inside your contents folder. After that you will need someone else to send you any map files that you don't already have. If you're not sure what the file that you are missing is turn on auto download and try to join it will  tell you the missing files. I also tried to redirect when the files where being looked for but i don't really think that was the issue.

I copied assets file into '~/Library/Application Support/Jedi Knight II/base' and also built a dcmod1_2.pk3 file but didn't do the job. Still saying I'm missing file and trying to download sol's dcmod1_2.pk3 file.

Seems I'll also need all the non-standard .pk3 files used on the server too...

What are you trying to do..? I am bit confused
