I don't think anyone has done this yet, so I'm gonna start it. Post video game music (vgm) that you like.
(Also, when I searched that today I found this)
Smooth uploaded that 4 days ago. lolz
Probably one of, if not the best soundtrack in Mario Kart 64. Something about it is just magical, driving in space seeing the faces of characters and listening to the music blends quite nicely.
Edit: Catching up on some of the stuff Smooth did, and I'm shocked at this one.
Just.. wow.
Anyway, I'm interested in seeing what people post.
NOTE: THIS WILL MOST LIKELY STIMULATE YOUR MEMORIES OF PLAYING GAMES BACK IN THE DAY. IF YOU FEEL ANY NOSTALGIA PLEASE CALL 1-800-SOH-APPY.

Really, anything done by Motoi Sakuraba is usually really good.
The soundtracks for Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean, Golden Sun: The Lost Age, and Tale of Symphonia come to mind. Tales of Xillia also proved to be quite good.
This first one is an amped up version of the normal battle theme of Baten Kaitos that is used during certain boss battles. Also before I forget VOLUME ADVISORY. Be sure to check the volume before you play them, I don't want to be responsible for people losing their ear drums.
The Baten Kaitos soundtrack is still one of my favorites to this day. It's got a really interesting mix of rock to go with the usual fantasy stuff in an RPG.
This second one comes from Tales of Xillia. One of my favorite boss themes from the game.
It plays when you fight against a particular group of bosses in the game, and it fits well given the reputation in-game that they have.
And that's all for now.

Final fantasy 8 is in my opinion an epic unmatched final fantasy game. From the dark gloomy carefully crafted music up to what it did on the old PSX, and even the story and gameplay.
Ah the old hype of the super graphics with its pre-rendered movies. never has an FF game cought me like this one with characters and story and design.

I have the same exact feelings about FF7. I was swept up in the characters, story and music from the start.

This!
I've been playing a lot of Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3 lately. Apparently I have over 900 hours on my first save file... Also, Qubeley Mk II for the win.

Going to bump this with some more awesomeness.
After playing Tales of Xillia 2, I came to one conclusion: Motoi Sakuraba is still an amazing composer.
Have a listen.
This is one of the many boss themes that plays in the game. The circumstances of these fights are usually quite crazy, and the bosses you fight when this theme plays are quite fearsome. When this theme starts playing, you know shit's about to get real.
My favorite boss theme which plays only in one battle, and it's not the final boss' theme either but is a key battle for the story. The fight's really hard if you decide to go at it legit. (The battles are real-time and very, very skill-based. So even if you're underleveled, you can still win if you're good. But even if you're overleveled, you can still lose if you aren't so good.)
