There was interest from (at least some) people to play also on custom singleplayer maps. mcmonkey made JK2:SE (SE = special edition). Some custom maps are playable also without it (like bespin_streets) but maps custom ns_streets, or cairn or artus mines/canyons etc are playable only through SE which would need to be whitelisted on servers (then it also wouldn't be depicting people as using unallowed clientside). Nick would probably say more about the whitelisting.
Anyway using the SE would also require using twifire mod (or similar). However there is problem how to go along with SoL admin/server system then. In talk I had with mcmonkey he said he could help with editing any mod so it works with SE so we can play here also the custom SP maps. Again I recommend here NickdeClaw because he will know better to say things from this area than me ofc xD
I am far from being at least some form of experienced human in this area so who can provide more information or make it more exact is appreciated here.

I've always wanted ns_streets and the artus mines and canyons! I spent my fair share of time in the lab trying to get conventional map modding (yavin_temple being an example) to enable these maps without a clientside download, however that turned out to be impossible.

MC has gone above and beyond again, as shown above and I'd love to enjoy these new SP maps with you all. Smile
