CTF Weekly Event

First topic message reminder :

Ok i know we've talked about this before so I'm just going to take initiative but I'll need help from an admin

I want to make a weekly CTF time. I'm not sure if weeknights or weekends work better so I'd like some opinions on that, but I want this to happen. With the master server list down it is getting much harder to get good activity. CTF always was a big crowd drawer and since people can still see when it is happening from the SoL forum I'd like to make a weekly routine of it.

Right now I'm thinking like either a Wednesday night or Saturday afternoon but I'd like opinions on the best time and for an admin (or multiple admins) to be able to commit to that time and at least change the server map and game mode since i can't do it myself. Thanks Peeps

Next event is this Wednesday, February 11th. If an admin could please commit to setting this up for me as I will still not be able to make it, I'd greatly appreciate it!

If I will be able to come I can at least start it, ill know some later

Next CTF event tonight 10PM GMT, 5PM EST. I'd still love to get an admin to 100% commit to being there tonight to change the map for the game because I won't be able to make it. Hope everyone has fun!

I cant promise 100% today because among other things (-,-) my connection completely flatlined yesterday..

I keep having incredibly extreme difficulties with router and connectivity, its lagging out every while, it would be good for at least 1 other admin to come for sure

Hey everyone! I apologize for not being around the last 2 weeks but my schedule was crazy! However things have settled down a bit again so this Wednesday, 10PM GMT, 5PM EST, we will have our usual CTF so please invite friends and lets have fun!

Might be good to let know somehow through kr0 the ppl who were on sunday tourney if they are interested, if i will be able to get to it ill tell him so he spreads the word

kr0 posted my invitations to CTFs on their boards, so they may be coming for some playing. Gun CTF, force CTF or whatever can be so im looking forward if they will be coming. If the hour is too late we can adjust it so more ppl can have fun if some cant come later but i told him for now its 10pm gmt

Thanks for checking into that Yodah!! Unfortunately the time can't be moved because I have other commitments right before and after the CTF so 10PM GMT is what it will have to be but fingers crossed they can come!

But you arent the only admin xD there should always be some if ppl want it earlier, we can accomodate to the demand, but ye for now it stays at that hour ^^

If this is going to happen at least some other admin must come, i cant connect to my own bloody router

Event has started!

Next event is planned to happen on euro JJ server, it will be instagib CTF, so stay tuned, ill hope it will happen and with decent amount of people ^^ (also thx miso)

Ummm... thats cool of Miso to offer but I'd like to talk to him about a few things before I commit to that

4 days to nearest event anyway so.. we will see

For now to avoid confusion, the event will still be on SoL EU for Wednesday but I will try to talk to Miso and post if anything changes

To avoid even more confusion xD: CTF FFA will be on SoL EURO - CTF instagib will be on JJ EURO (when we set up all details with miso), day/hour still remains the same

So there's going to be two CTFs running at the same time? Wouldn't it be a bit better to have them on separate days or separate times? That way people who want to play in both can do, and it's also not taking away players from Zelah's CTF.

I am really curious why you are again thinking something what I never said.

There wont be anything on the same time, one day we can have ffa CTF, other day instagib CTF for example or how will be the agreement

Yodah you said day/hour remains the same for your event. There's no other way to take that than its at the same time as the CTF events lol

Hour would be same but I meant to have instagib instead of ffa, since there are people who are wanting to have also instagib, I nowhere said to have both on same time
