Lamers

I was thinking, why do people lame so much, but then i realized they just like to make admins mad, I think that you admins should take away lightsabers and force powers from the lamers, reply to tell me what you think

New players are often subject to hunt, it happened to me too when i started but dont get discouraged, you will learn how to deal with these situations and we will help you with that and with rules too.

Also, if you have saber up or using any force power it is signal for other players to start fighting you back. So you might turn off saber if you dont want to get attacked or fight. Plus hangar is war zone, laming is tolerated there.

Anyway, we issue warnings to lamers and harder punishment too if the abuse exceeds threshold, dont worry we will teach you the rules.

Laming can be a big problem especially when you are new and can't defend yourself as well. My advice is to let admins know player names that are harassing you and take screenshots if you can. Also try not to verbally antagonize the person attacking you, because it generally makes things worse. I will be on the lookout though

Regarding the screenshots, do this in console:

/bind key screenshot, example /bind h screenshot
It will save the picture into your game files, in dcmod1.2 folder

That way you will have some proof when it comes to harassing

Kinetic, it doesn't work like that. Someone isn't going to get banned because of laming. It's a very minor 'offence' usually only resulting in a sleep or freeze for 10 minutes etc...

You were also attacking people with lightning/grip and then running away and crying lame if they would defend themselves.
So just don't aggravate anyone and they shouldn't attack you.

Yah I tried that, Padawan still keeps laming for no reason

Also please dont be creating other topics about same matter ('laming' in this case for example) when there already is topic started - it is called forum spamming - that is why im merging those topics, and please be posting it in proper forum section - that is why i moved your previous topics to Jedi Knight section and that is why i asked you to start familiarizing with our forums.

JK2 is one of those games where laming will happen. We try keep it to a minimum in our server but it will happen regardless of wether admins are there or not. With the big influx of new players that the game has had over the last couple of days, you will see a lot more laming because most new players won't understand what 'laming' means. So just have some patience with these people and with lamers in general and follow BDL's advice which is not to antagonise people, i.e fighting them back, hitting them with lightning\grip etc then stopping, if you don't want to get 'lamed'. If you do stuff like that, even when admins are on the server they won't help you if you're instigating some of it.

Kinetic - just to clarify you, laming qualifies as laming if player attacks a player who has saber down and isnt attacking back (that includes using no force) or has chatbox up or clearly states he doesnt want to fight back. Laming becomes laming if it persists, one sabering down isnt laming

Have also in mind that laming in hangar is allowed.

@ang, note that it is his 3rd day in MP so i guess he has a way to go to learn how the game works assuming his image of it is different than he expected

He told me he came on forums trolling about the making. In reality he was provoking the "laming" with lightning spam and running away saying no lame. So id rather just ignore it. Good person yes. But he doesn't know what laming is. Or he does and he is trolling the forums like he told me

Trolling like that isn't going to help him on recruitment.....
