ATS pass rate proposal

Ok guys, as far as im aware for any new applicant going for recruitment, in order to pass his poll, all he has to do is receive a majority vote, yes?

Mmm i'm wondering whether we should up the stakes on this. When new applicants come, people often vote yes on their poll, simply because they dont know the applicant in person. Others vote no, which isnt fair on the appicant. (in my opinion if a person does not know the applicant they should not vote at all)

However as far as im aware in order for anybody to pass a poll they must reach a 51% pass rate, my proposal is that we raise the bar on this issue to say 75%. This could apply to recruit to members too!

One of the reasons i am saying this is because on my poll i recieved 100% (as many others have) of the vote, however others sometimes pass their poll with people voting against them.

As far as im concerned, even if one person votes against you, this is a serious cause for concern but unfortunatly, their reasons get undermined.

Often people have a good reason for voting no, but are undermined by other people who vote yes, simply because they dont know the guy so well, or havent been active when the applicant has, or have missed an incident regarding the applicant.
Often that one or two people voting no have cast iron reasons for voting this way, but are undermined because people less in know vote yes!

(i would like to make a example of nick not voting for waffle, apparently waffle was kicked from ATS for good reasons, but we vote yes to let him back in because we dont know the full story. Nick is undermined).

So my proposal is that we set a pass rate at 75% for all polls! What u guys think?

i thought about that too...
but kernow made a solution that only requires changes in voting criteria, and not in voting system...
just vote no if you dont know that person, and vote no if u are not sure, or u think that the person needs more time...

this will make the votes more worthy

and its better to vote at the end of the 7 days if u are not sure...

and that makes the votes more suspend^^

but the council may think abou that then...

I think this is a good idea, it used to be say 9 to 10 then they're in. So I'm fine with 75%

Just one thing :
Recruit someone is letting him a chance to show that he desereves a place in ATS, so it's more the vote for member that should be more accurate.

When someone gets to recruits, he's just in way to member, but not ATS yet, so it's not an issue i think, but more the poll to get to member rank.

That's what i think.

Yeah aju i understand that, the thing is once a person is recruited its only a matter of time until he is given membership, it may be harder to get rid of unsuitable people once they are recruits.

Plus even as a recruit they still wear ATS tag and therefore are a representitive of ATS, so a recruit who is a bad example or unsuitable for ATS could give us a bad name.

We could also require a period of discussion on the candidate before the poll. At the very least we must tell people they cannot vote "Yes" unless they feel well-informed. Also, I agree with Ajunta.

Ok guys i brought up this matter some time ago and it appears we agreed to wait until the council was formed before addressing it. Now the council is up i thought i would like to re-ignite my intrest in it, as it goes hand in hand with my other topic(recruits proposal). There appears to be mixed feelings here so i would like confirmation on what we think about the proposal here.

This isnt a poll, but i would like people to say yes or no and give reasons on whether they agree or disagree with the proposal?

well... i just hoped ppl just would vote NO if they dont know the person... it would represent the actual status of that person here...
otherwise i would like to raise really the quote to at least 51%... 50 percent is really... low... it means as many ppl have voted no as yes... and im quite sure some ppl didnt vote at all to be nice...

I think, that since we want "Quality vs. Quantity" then we should make sure that they could be a good member, by hiring the pass rate, and if they don't have quality, who cares if they join Outcast? Its not like they're gonna go anywhere after that, lol. And its not like they're gonna learn neither, the entire clan is a nab clan and so is most of the people that go there.

Vote, which way outcast tells us too lol, but yeah voting is the best way for pass
