Split ATS: Detailed Events from January 2nd to March 7th

Ok guys i thought I would make this topic public to show everyone both member and visitor. I doubt Outcast himself will notice this, when was the last time he paid a visit to any other server or forum other than his own?!

Well this is just an update to the situation. The situation the division of ATS: the old conservatives sticking to Outcast's ruthless dictatorship, or the new and shining democrats who opt for equality and respect amongst ALL players. The conservatives themselves are a minority as it was just Herny (for vested intrests), Max (for fear of loss of power), Kyle (the gimp), Sylba (old and against change) and Outcast (inconsolable and extremist) who decided not to change the old system. To avoid Outcasts grip of power we created our own new ATS forum and server, whilst the old five are without a forum but have their abandoned and rarely administrated server.

Herny has employed (yes employed as he has actually PAYING this guy), a hacker in his local school to come and shut down/delete this forum, hopefully to cause internal chaos to the new ATS and destroy our organisation. He ISN'T acting under Outcast's or Max's orders and he personally sees us as rebels who falsly use the ATS name, his main problem is the our use of the name ATS. And due to this he aims to oblitirate us, and i'm sure if the oppertunity for cancelling the server arises to him he will capitalise on it.

Outcast has also just released a new forum, one that he has been working on or some time to make it fun and appealing to 9 yr old newbies etc......The good news is this server and forum has the majority of ATS members which means that typing "ATS JK2" in google presents this forum as the top link. Lets hope it stays this way.

There is of course confusion, Outcast's server entitles: "..................ATS" and our much more active and fun version called: "....................~". Many newbies are heading to the ATS server and being told its the real one, only to come to ours and hear the same thing, so of course they are very confused. We want Outcast to join us or give up the name of ATS to its true inheritors (those who kept and keep it alive during his and the founders absences. And they want us to do the same thing. Its is a stalemate on either sides so of course you can see the need for extremist behaviour like Herny's.

I am just warning all supporters of our system (the ones who give the power to you) that IF the server and/or forum closes down DO NOT lose hope - We will rebuild another server and forum just like we did before when Outcast wiped everything.

I do not like people keeping secrets from the clan, I made a public statement to exemplify this moral. To warn, to prepere and to inspire you all.

I asked outcast for a discussion between us 2. I'm still waiting for the answer.

@ Ajunta Doubt any change will happen if you talk to Outcast. But its always worth a try.

If the server and forum shuts down, then that shows the maturity level of clan member as well as the responsibility of clan leader.

And we havent control on new recruits, what registred on second ATS forum 'outcast's' and they then come and we dont know anthing about, that they are in clan. It is really bad 2 ATS clans -.-' , but we are still in lead, cuz number of our members and good council.

I already told Xasomur what I was gonna do, but idk if he told any of you, pm me if you want this information and if you want to help.

It doesn't worry me that Outcast gains members. New people try out the top servers first; they will try ours before Outcast's. Even if they do become involved in Outcast's server, if you found out that a mirror ATS clan with better morals existed, why would you stay in the dictatorship? We do need to begin to make an effort to teach new players, though. Things are beginning to calm down and it's time we focus in-game more and more.

The issue of herny and his supposed "hacker" friend is sad. I would advise anyone with forum admin or moderator to use a strong password.

This brings up the issue of our name once again. When the Council is formed, I think a deep discussion about it should be held.

If your password is one word or something commonly used by you which others could guess, I strongly suggest you change it. I'm also aware of the news in the forum hacking scene and lately the only JK2 ones hacked were phbb3 forums. I know this one is based off of the same code base, but big companies like Forumotion have incredibly secure servers and absolutely no public or private exploits. It's like trying to crash Freewebs, it just won't work.

Grrrrr nice speech kernow but this info really pisses me off, herny is just a sour grape trying to spoil everything for us, i bet he's really looking forward to ruining everything for us. I can just imagine him relishing the prospect of laughing at our misfortunes, I actually liked herny but now in really having doubts

An employed hacker? how much more pathetic than that can he get?
Anyways other than strong passwords are there other fool proof ways of making sure this turn of events does not occur. Stating the obvious but if our forum is hacked we will be back to square one, we survived last time but if it happens again i dont know if we can pull though.

Also in response to kernows second paragraph i think that we can agree that outcast will never join us, no chance in hell im sure, he still thinks ATS is his and he wont do anything to relinquish his grip on it.

So with much reluctance im going to have to agree with nick, we might have to seriously consider creating a new clan name in effort to prevent these threats and confrontations from happening.

I dont like the idea of a new tag but lets face it, no matter what name we go by, we are still ATS really!

Wrong, we won't be back at square one, we will still have our council, our server, our admins, and our hierarchy. Besides, as purple said it is highly unlikely.

Good good, im very pleased to hear it. I think its everybody's worst fear at the minute, that something might happen while we are still finding our feet. Anyways good, i dont need to worry so much then.

hmm...this whole thing is very...very something...worrisome? ah well, ATS will get through it...its a strong clan with awesome people

Well after looking around on his new forum, there is no way to talk to him Ajunta. Outcast's head is so far up his ass, he does not see reason from power and greed. I have always liked Outcast, but when power does this to you, it can change your personality alot.

I know this cause I once was a power hog. But I saw what I have done, and fixed it. Which is why I am a bit uneasy sometimes with power. And also why I told Nick if he ever saw me get out of hand, to ban me for a bit, and give me a knock on the head. I will probably snap out of it by then.

But back onto Outcast, I seen on his forum, under "history", he still believes he did this as a test, and he says that "this" forum is stolen from him and is fake. He also "mentioned" that we are fake, nab traitors. So I see no way we will reason with a man that sees nothing but his own wants and needs.

Ive already stated my opionon on this and i stick by it! I believe this to be a load of bullshit!

I think that outcast origionaly really genuinley intended on quitting Jk2, so he changed the server and deleted the forums (there is no other explaination for this rash and hastey descision). Then for whatever reason either he realisted he still wanted to play, or just changed his mind about quitting, or saw us rebuilding ATS and thought "no way its mine i'll f**k everything up for them"!

The fact that he say its a test is just his cover story so he could get back in amongst us, he quit, screwed us over, ruined everything, then realised what he lost and wanted back in!

Never in a million years will i believe it was a test, and nothing or nobody can convince me otherwise.
Deleting the forum and changing the server, well for me, its just too much of a implusive and carefree decision for it to have been a test for us.

I believe he meant leave and quit Jk2, changed his mind, wanted back in, we wouldnt have it, so he uses our new regime as a convienent excuse to call us traitors and theives!
