Xaso, I was talking about the 20th century when talking about pacifism. Most of the wars you mention were not started by the American govt. and many were not really wars, but skirmishes with pirates or indians.

But for starters:

Civil War - Started with attack on Fort Sumter by the Confederacy

War of 1812 - Our citizenry were being seized at sea and forced into service by the English. American citizenship was not recognized by the English at this time. This is just one of the provocative isssues that caused the war.

Spanish American War - Cuban revolt against the Spanish. Spain had agreed to Cuban autonomy. Then war started with the Spanish sinking the USS Maine.

it is always a mistake to think that someone is less worthy than another. all are humans, and no one deserves to die. and no one should strive for the death of someone.

You're such a knothead you can't even tell when a person is being sarcastic. The cultures of the indian tribes in the USA varied greatly. To lump them all together and say the things you do is just plain ignorant. Many of the tribes were of a warrior type culture and had a propensity towards warfare. Stop making blanket statements with no supporting facts. Whites were attacked and killed many times by indians, without cause. I'm personally descended from 2 Dutch settlors that were killed in "The Battle of Beukendaal". So don't insinuate that all the indian tribes were pure and never committed any attrocities.

lol mer, i wasnt beginning with the past of the usa. it was wehr. and even u have to admit that there hardly is a pacifist nation on earth, and the usa is nor was one of them.

and i emphasized to judge the happenings NOW. the fact that the us government was ordering the assassination of one of their enemies, though there would have been other ways. and because there would have been other ways, which wouldnt used, its a breach of the human rights.
and as i already stated several times: this first accuse is only a game of mind if in that very situation there was no way of capturing osama. the us government wont ever admit they sent their soldiers for assassination, even though they did.

the second accuse i made is the more important one: the reaction of the ppl shows how they arent caring for human rights and the fundamentals of the civilization, and only civilization can provide peace. they would have sold all those ideals for their revenge.

Most historians would agree with my comments regarding the USA prior to WW1 and WW2. We were forced into those wars. Just like we were forced into many other unwanted wars.

no country should be the moral compass at all. no country is neutral and could be fair to everyone. i never said germany should be the moral compass.
the usa shouldnt neither how they just proved.

and whats regarding the history of the usa, its not the topic... and i think it has little or no benefit for the topic. so there is no need to lonk it with it.
But one thing i want to say: isolationism is not the same like pacifism. you said pacifism. isolationism only means to stay out of affairs and alliances with other countries. doesnt mean you are not allowed to hunt natives in your own country. And at least when roosevelt declared the hegemony of the usa about the western hemisphere. that turned the monroe doctrine from isolationism to interventionism.
and nothing of that has something to do with pacifism.

Both terms have been used by historians to describe the US prior to WW1 and WW2 Xaso. You just can't take it that we have better track record where human rights are concerned then Germany. You can say whatever you want but much of what we've done in middle east will likely save lives over time. At least if you go by track records of people we've taken out. France and UK are playing a positive role in the world, unlike German leechers.
